Because they manage to argue/debate without crying which is priceless.

Because the law is too complicated for the layperson to properly understand unaided, navigate through and represent themselves at court.
Supply & demand forces at play too- high demand for so many types of legal services, limited supply of high experienced and well qualified legal professionals.

Also what makes people want to go into law? I don’t know much about it, but to me it just seems boring.

They can demand a higher price because it is supply and demand. A lot of time they are a necessity to avoid further costs or costly mistakes.

Obviously the more experience they have the higher the rate.

I don't even know why I care what others think of my posts so here it goes:

......never mind, but it was such a good reply (in my opinion). So sad I am not brave enough to post it.

It is quite an interesting field of work for those that are interested. It can be very rewarding as well, especially when you complete long running cases.

I never went into it personally because it is long hours and years academia, I have seen the toll it can take after a lifetime of service and that was not the life for me.

I dare you.
As long as it does not involve any jokes about my breakup, stalker ex or his attempts to ruin my life.

I think all court cases should be determined by a wrestling match.

Wrestlers will become the lawyers.
The better lawyer you can buy(Wrestler) the more chance you are going to win.
For example if I could afford to I would hire the Rock as my lawyer wheras if I was assigned a public Lawyer I'd probably get some Danny Devito lookalike.
