# C1 Factorising help watch

1. where did you get these questions from??
did you find out form your school what exam board you do it with??

with OCR we didnt have to factorise cubic equations, i dont think, we all just used calculators or had to divide it

Well i'm going to take a random guess and say thats not a normal comp. school

I did A-level math with the old pure modules, and P1 back then was considered easy, but this C1 sounds like it should be in higher tier GCSE
Most of it is higher tier GCSE.

well i did the IGCSE in May, and about 4/5 out of the 8 chapters are higher tier GCSE stuff really. the rest is new concepts like integration etc..
4. Spending ages on 1), I got:

8.66 (3sf)

1.
I spent ages and cant seems to cleanly factorise it, if it is C1, are you sure it is not x-9 instead of 9x-1?

2.
Basically 4 x (3-x-10x^2) where whatever in the bracket can be factorised as (1-2x)(3+5x)
6. 1st one cannot be factorised. Just ran it through mathcad to make sure and it can't be must have been a misprint
