Is the Uni of Aberdeen good for accounting?

Is the business school reputable? What is the employability rate? How does it compare to other business schools (outside Scotland as well)? Is it targeted by the big employers at all?

You say ‘business school’. Do you mean undergrad or postgrad?

Cool - Aberdeen is a perfectly well respected and well known university. I doubt it is particularly targeted by major employers outside of Scotland but the graduates will have perfectly good opportunities.

Firstly you should have some knowledge about accounting. with that knowledge, go for your chosen unis' open days and speak to the course consultants. Find out how you will be taught, how much contact time you have with your tutors, how many lectures do you have per week, how are you assessed such as group work, essays, presentations, how many graduates attained employment within say 6 months of graduation etc. That's what I did when i went to a couple of unis' open house and I was able to narrow down to the top 2 unis in my list that I know will be fulfilling. Most uni brochures and facebook posts will tell you that they are a top school and a whole host of other accolades but we do know from past news articles that there are many lecturers who aren't cut out for teaching yet still teach anyways.

I wish I could attend the open days, but I am a EU student so it is very difficult. Looking for information online has helped me a bit, but I thought it would be more helpful to start a discussion on here to get a better idea.
