I came back for you!
Ha, my sister got off the comp for a min so I'm on. Watching Billy Connolly.
And this is all terribly relevant to the topic because military intelligence is an oxymoron, just like Sally Drew..

sorry for hoping to provoke an intelligent discussion on something...
im more than aware that this could be considered an oxymoron
but if we're going to be immature...
your mom's an oxymoron

Well that's just the thing... It is considered purely as a jokey saying, with very little thought given to it.

What discussion could you want?

As someone who's aiming to have a career in the intelligence arena of the military, I'd be up for one... But, if noone's coming forward, then fine.

Well, it depends what you're interested in knowing... Whether it's simply evidence of there being intelligent people in the Armed Forces, or what it is Military Intelligence sections actually do.

The latter being a stupid question asked by an idiot because obviously the things the Intelligence agencies do by their very nature are top secret and would result in the OPs death and any readers death if told. Thus, military intelligence cannot be explained for fear of death from stupidity.

It does make sense, while during a real war every aspect of it changes every secounds, having military intelligence makes the officer/general better at dealing with any random situation.......

The same way as you do not know what questions will pop up in your maths exam, but doing your maths course properly will mean you have a much greater chance to pass it.
On a slight tangent, but the military (in the UK at least) are becoming increasingly aware that military might alone is not enough to solve conflicts and recognise the importance of involving development agencies and diplomats. Which I guess could be called a more intelligent approach to conflict.
