CODE Coventry Student Accommodation

Hi! This thread is for anyone searching for a student accommodation in Coventry I am currently part of the staff team at CODE (https://codestudents.co.uk/code-coventry) and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about living with us, so just give me a shout and me or my colleagues will get back to you as soon as we can
Hii, I’m in year 13 and I am thinking of living at the Code cov accommodation. Would you recommend first year students to live here ??? Or do you think we should get used to our schools campus etc (as I want to attend Warwick ) before we then move outside campus for second year. Thank youuuu

Hey there,

Thank you for your message.

Is there a reason you want to stay at The Code for your first year at uni? Although The Code is a pleasant stay for uni, it would be nice to be able to socialise with people in your year and get to know your peers before deciding to stay at The Code. Furthermore, it would be easier to access the campus and be closer in distance so you don't have to worry about being late.
The Code does offer privacy, on-site gym, laundry and social space, and security access which is great as well as coming across students who study at Coventry University. It's convenient if you're interested in shopping too.
Typically first-year students tend to opt for student halls as it's a great way to mingle with people, however, there are people who also decide not to and choose to stay elsewhere.

Commuting from Code to Warwick University can vary depending on transport as it can take 35mins to over an hour depending on circumstances. Would you be prepared for this?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi thank you so much for your response, I was initially thinking on staying at code for my entire university experience as I am quite a private person and don’t like too much social activities however now I’ve decided that it is best if I spend my first year on campus then after second and third year I will move to a code accommodation. This will allow me to step outside of my little bible and mingle with people. Lastly how exactly does applying for an accommodation at code work?? I was on the website and I was quite confused on the process. Could you pls explain it to me. I’m very grateful thanks xx

Hey,

Apologies for taking some time to respond. I hope you're looking after yourself!

I asked a friend who's currently staying at the CODE now to query her experience on the process.
According to her, she applied online, selected her room and completed the application forms that came with the application process.
The website should have a chat feature where you can query your issues/troubles and they're able to help out there and then.
However, if you find that none of this is helping, you can always call 024 7610 5106 to personally speak to someone on the phone to guide you through the application process.

I hope this provides you with some insight!
