    i heard that it was illegal here? but i've just found like loads of uk based delivery sites?

    The real hardcore high percentage stuff is ileagal. The absinthe you can buy here is more like sambucca than anything else.

    No the UK has never banned it. I think most of Europe and America did once upon a time.

    as far as i know absinthe was never 'officialy' banned in the UK but weird forgein exports might be...

    not banned in the UK I know it is in Australia though.

    I've seen it in loads of shops, Sainsburys for one! haha. I really want to try some, only because its cool and green.

    There is no such thing as hallucinogenic absinthe, it's just a myth. There is a component of absinthe that can make you trip out but in the levels absinthe contains you'd have to drink a couple of bottles before the walls even began to wave, so you'd be dead first. I think the main reason it's banned is because of it's high alcohol content, hence the reason the 65% one here is legal but it's quite hard to find 70%+++.

    Needless to say, I was well and truly GONE.

    I used to sell Absinthe in the specialized Wine & Cigar shop where I used to work. 65%, called La Fee. Expensive stuff though, I think we sold it for 40 quid a litre bottle. Never tried it myself though.

    You were "gone" of one shot? Are you sure it wasn't just the placebo effect?

    Of course it wasn't, that's like 1.5 units! OMFG!!!!1 I had 2 once and I only came out of the coma a couple of weeks ago.
