I can't help with A Christmas Carol- but I can certainly help with Macbeth!
The main themes of Macbeth Include:
-Masculinity
-Violence
-Divine Right Of Kings/Kingship
-The supernatural
-Deception
-Fate and Free Will
-Ambition
There are a few extras, but these certainly are key to begin with. I hope this helps!
