You can apply for both. See point 8 below:-

http://www.dur.ac.uk/resources/schoo...s%20policy.pdf

However given that they have a central admissions policy I wonder how likely it might be to receive offer from one but not the other.
Hmm thanks for that, you're awesome and shall be repped in due course :yep:

Okay fine, thanks for that. Out of interest, would you have a source for that, since I'd really like to make Durham my second if I could...

i just checked thorough my UCAS apply and it allows you to selecet Newcastle Twice and Choose the two different campuses (Durham or Newcastle).

So yes youcan apply to both

umm idk, I dont think that I would get in to Oxbridge (wouldnt stand a chance) so i did a reality check and thought it would be a waste of an application which can be used somewhere else where I stand a greater chance...

you really should of applied for oxbridge of imperial with those grades you got at gcse.

i mean 9a* - that's a lot.
I dont really want to go to oxbridge though and would also rather not risk one of my four choices there, for medcine the grade arnt the top priority.

Lots of work - at the expense of my social life ...anyways:

free's on wed afternoon - public speaking every week for 10+ months
wed evening (3.30 - 8pm): voluntary @ hospital

*every* school lunchtime helping out at IT dept. (12.40-1.55pm)

D Of E Practice Sessions every tuesday afterschool (3.30-5.45pm)

D Of E Real - miss school 5 days 4 nights (overlaps weekend)

Peermentoring school breaktimes / afterschool (random days)

WE at OPD & paediatrics last year (july07)

Annual seminars (preparation over 5 months + real thing lasts a whole day every year) on medical issues...

+ lots of others...at the expense of enjoying life and being able to study (hardpressed for time)...but it all works out in the end if you organise your time effectivley

I gotto be realistic. It is quite likely i'll fail to get in, in 2009 but having a 4yr degree in 2010 makes graduation the same time + cheaper so it's all good.
