    Where did you see that?
I just checked their prospectus but it doesn't mention anything like that...?

Just wondering, cos if it's true, I may add a fifth choice for biochem at Imperial!
pretty sure i saw it in their prospectus. but i could be remembering it wrongly, it might have referred to unsuccessful applicants or something. best thing to do would be to email the tutors.
and anyway, you can apply to the same uni for two different courses, so biochem might be a good idea!

well done for choosing george's! if you need any help PM me.

I need some advise for georges.

    1. 2.416 points from your top 8 subjects at GCSE including Maths, English and Dual Award Science or Single Sciences (i.e. an average grade of A). GCSE English Grade B or IELTS 7.0 (with no section less than 6.0).

Does it matter if one of my GCSEs was completed in yr 10?

    2. 12.Satisfactory health and police screening including screen for and immunisation against Hepatitis B.

Is it after offers have been made? I still havent got my Hep B doses

    Thanks.

    Sorry, I just noticed :

''Please contact your general practitioner to arrange screening for infectivity from Hepatitis B. You should begin a course of Hepatitis B immunisation as soon as you submit your UCAS form as it consists of three injections ''

That means i do have to do it whether got any offers or not Grrrr.... More injections

Thanks very much although academics won't get you a place at Medical school alone, I had the same GCSE's, AS's, Predicted A2's and UKCAT (almost) when I applied last year!

    Cheers,

Would have liked to apply to Edinburgh but i think its too risky with my UKCAT and B in biology. Im not sure on my 4th choice, i like Leeds but i think Peninsula might be a more safe option- well not as competitive. I read no. of succesful applicants to the no. of applicants at Leeds last year was 1:12 :O

Don't let competition affect your decision. Apply to the medical school which you would be happiest studying at. If you like Leeds, go for it. Make your application as strong as possible and you should have as much chance as anyone else. You have good GCSE's and AS level/ A level predictions and lots of varied work exp/voluntary work, which i'm sure you've gained a lot from.

Why did you decide to rule out KCL? And why Southampton?

I've got some updates Decided on my college choice for Cambridge. I'm going for Downing. I know it's like the second most competitive but I love it so much there I just can't resist. Also definites are Notts and Cardiff  THE ultimate dilemma at the moment is Kings and UCL. Which to choose? Any advice?????
