    Bear in mind that a lot of people (surprising number) who apply don't meet the minimum requirements because they'll too retarded to check.

    Some others are only applying because they're pressured into doing so or are applying for the wrong reasons, and they get weeded out at the interview if they don't already get weeded out before that.

    I knew a guy who sab'd his PS at the last minute to get 4 rejections. it's unbelievable that some 18 year olds cant stand up to their parents on something that decides the rest of their life.

    Wow! That's surprising, and kind of pathetic in a way.

    There's no way I'd let my parents tell me what to do - my dad wanted me to do Chemistry!

    It was expected that i'd go into IB/ Law or accountancy but my parents didnt really care.

    well, ok, they DID care. They wanted me to be happy.

    lol my dad's against me doing medicine. says it'll be too hard on me...
    he'd rather i go into economics or smth along those lines...
