    Girls - makeup and boobs
Boys - a little bit of stubble

For both though you can just dress older and it makes a difference. Ditch the spongebob teeshirt for a start

Look you troublesome little scamp, you are too young to be going into bars and naughty 18 rated films, so stop looking for ways to circumvent the law. Run along now. And leave mummy's clothes and make-up alone.

Dye parts of your hair grey
Pull up your trousers so they're around your chest
    Wear comfortable slippers
    Paint on some wrinkles
    Wear large glasses

    Don't shave. At all.

A disdain for stubble got me ID'd on the last night of my first year (and I was 19 when I arrived...).

And don't where hoodies, skinny jeans or anything remotely feminine. Femininity is associated with younger males.

Nah, the bouncer would reject him for being too old "Go home granddad"

He could go for the 'middle aged spread' with a pot belly though.

Wear a shirt and trousers with a belt along with some smart shoes. Look as though you work in a stock market. Oh, and have some stubble.

Yeh, but then he could give the bouncer an earful about how 'in his day people respected their elders!' And the bouncer would let him in just to shut him up.

    :yep:

When I was 16, i was average height, I grew some stubble and acted mature and I heard I looked 19 from a lot of people, friends, shop assistants, people at the gym, so it is pretty easy to pull off.

That's fool-proof. You did the same thing as a grandma when you were younger didn't you ?!
