Sorry to post another how to lose weight thread but im in need of some advice please!

Im not overweight but id really like to lose a stone by 21st august to make my clothes fit better any tips or suggestions will be appreciated
i know eat more healthily and do more exercise but i need results quickly!
Thankyouu X

Not possible without exercise, do you want to exercise? It's no mean feat to shift a stone in 5 weeks.
Cut down on what you eat, have smaller portions. Fit in your 5 fruit & Veg per day.
Do at least an hour of exersise a day, do exersise that really makes you feel like you're doing something. There are fitness DVD's out there that could help, or you could go swimming, jogging, whatever really

Surely if you're not overweight and you lose a significant amount of weight, like a stone, then you'll be underweight? Why make yourself ill to fit into a few items of clothing?

Become a vegetarian or vegan, You are more likely to eat healthily and weight loss even without eating less calories or doing more exercise is one pound a week for new vegans.

well it may be possible without excercise but it would be bloody hard to stick to a diet that allowed you to lose 2 - 3 pounds a week without excercise.

it's simple just excercise lightly at least 4 times a wee maybe a jog or walk?)
join a gym with a sauna, the immense 90 degree temperature will melt the fat of your body, but do it after excercise, this is very important.
Simple: burn more calories than you consume.

Does a sauna really help you lose fat? I thought it just made you lose water?

As much as I would love to support this one, I know a lot of fat vegetarians, the ones I know do tend to over compensate with cheese and veggie sausages, one brand of Sosmix, sorry I meant vegetarian sausage mix, actually contained more saturated fat (let alone non saturated) than the entire fat content of a standard, frozen supermarket sausage, it was something like 1/3 fat!

Yeh! Go Vegan! and raw food, salads, for the Summer!!!!

Going vegan makes you experiment with new foods for some weird reason. I can't tell you howmany new foods I've eaten.

I know what you mean, I was vegetarian for all of a month, basically all I ate was cheese. I was using the idiot mentality of because I wasn't eating meat, eating cheese shouldn't really matter!

So I became vegan and Its made me so much healthier, because most vegan food is really healthy, and the stuff like dairy free chocolate and icecream is a little trickier to come by than the normal versions, so I was less inclined to eat crap.

So It's win/win in my eyes

Losing a stone in 5 weeks is near impossible. Most of it would be water loss and some of it will be muscless loss as well as fat loss.

A stone is 14 pounds which is 49000 calories if it is just fat. Thats the deficit you need to create assuming of course you are only losing fat and not muscle as well.

Thats 1400 calories a day and is unsafe. Good luck.

Does that really make you lose fat,I'm sure it's just water...

It does, the idea that a sauna has a high enough temperature to melt the fat that accumulates in your cells is ludicrous - this stuff isn't just like lard sitting beneath the surface of your skin and doesn't just drip out when you get warm. It's chemically bound to your cells.
Sauna is good for your skin but does not 'melt fat', and any weight you lose whilst in the sauna will be put back on when you become rehydrated.

Cut off an arm? Although that might not help your clothes fit better.

Seriously I'd say try vegetarianism over veganism, it's much easier and makes you less likely to quit early.

- Stop eating rubbish, no that greasy burger will not do your thighs no favours!
- Do NOT obsess over what the scales say. Your weight will fluctuate throughout the day and if you constantly check the scales then you'll only de-motivate yourself. Go by what you look like in the mirror, banish the scales and only weigh yourself at the start of the week and then at the end of the week as soon as you get up with zilch food in your stomach!
- Lots of fibre will help. It fills you up and keeps everything moving in your bowels, focus on fibre in the morning to keep you going snack free for as long as possible.
- Eat roughly 6 small meals a day, and in them incorporate your 5 fruit/veg
- Everyone says this, but drink 8 glasses of water a day.
- Avoid sugar, especially sugary drinks and even 'sprite zero' and drinks like that because they're not calorie free.
- Exercise, go for a good long jog/walk and build up your fitness
- If you know you don't need the piece of cake but just want to eat it, then slap yourself..don't do it!

Seriously people. Its not possible to do this in 5 weeks, see my previous post.

The only way this is possible is via liposuction lol.
