Oooh and Joshua fit the battle of Jericho!

How did the 'this little light of mine' song go?
This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine,
This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine,
This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine,
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

    ... is what we sang.

"Give me joy in my heart"
    "If I were a butterfly"
"One more step along the world I go"
"He's Got the Whole World In His Hands"
"Give Me Joy in My Heart"

Thee are just some i remember :p:
Oh thanks for reminding me: I had quite forgotten that song! It didn't stick in my mind much, not being a marked favourite of mine!:ninja: Nonetheless, I do still remember some of the lyrics!:p: :

One more step along the world I go
One more step along the world I go
And it's form the old I travel to the new
Keep me travelling along with you.
And it's from the old I travel to the new
Keep me travelling along with you.

I think the you was referring to God as one's shepherd hence guide, right? Like in the song/hymn:_________. I can't remember the name atm! I remember the picture with it- I'll have to go and look it up in my recorder book.

That was the chorus - I can still remember the first verse:

All over the world; everywhere: where the sun shines and where the white snow gleams
In the green green forests and by the streams
Hands are busy, plans are laid.
and slowly, slowly, somewhere, somebody's house is made.

Come and Praise were published by the BBC, weren't they? We had 2 lots of them - one was blue and had pictures of 1970's looking kids on the front, and went up to about number 60 or 70, and then we had greeny-yellow (newer) ones that went up to number one hundred and something.

    All over the world,
    Everywhere,
Where the sun shines and where the grass is green.
By the green green forests and by the streams,
Hands are busy, plans are laid
And somewhere, somehow somebodies house, is made
    (crescendo)
EVERYBODY'S BUILDING, EVERYBODYS BUILDING, EVERYBODY'S BUILDING in a different way!
+ stupid hand actions, it was great.
YES, YES, YES! I can't believe that I had forgotten this one when this one IS or was if we're being pedantic :p: one of my favourites!:grouphugs:

There were verses! Ooh remembering them though.. umm
Light that shines is the light of love,
    Hides the darkness from above,
Shines on me and it shines on you,
Shows you what the power of love can do.
Shine my light both bright and clear,
Shine my light both far and near,
In every dark corner that I find,
    Let my little light shine.

    That's what we sang!!

All that really sticks with me is the fun ones - 'from the tiny ant to the elephant' etc and the one where you had to shout 'DON'T BRING MUDDY BOOTS INTO THE HALL'

did you just make that up? haha

the one I know is :

the wise man built his house upon the rock
the wise man built his house upon the rock
the wise man built his house upon the rock and the rain came tumbling down

the rain came down and the floods went uuuuuUUUUUUUUUP
the rain came down and the floods went uuuuuUUUUUUUUUP
the rain came down and the floods went uuuuuUUUUUUUUUP (cue stupid ascending voice)
and the house on the rock stood firm.
Yeah that's the version i had to sing. Although they should make a more modern amendment. Something along the lines of

"The wise building company built their houses on the hill."

    and later on...

"The dumb building company built their houses on the floodplain."

    etc.
