Yes, although I get them when I'm not tired, too, they're just worse when I'm tired. I also get random flashes and all sorts of other stuff.

Do you get migraines, out of curiosity?

Nope, no migraines, but like you being tired seems to be a thing with them, cause this happens sometimes when I 'm absolutely wrecked.

Think it may be low blood pressure- I wonder if that would cause your migraines?

Sorry, I meant to say, do you suffer from migraines any time, not just when the visual stuff happens?

I asked just because, I've met a few people with similar stuff going on when they're tired, and they all seemed to also suffer from migraines too, so I assumed it was part and parcel with that. My migraines are actually fairly uncommon (maybe 15 a year ish), and pretty much purely eye-based, not much of a headache, so...

Something to consider anyway *shrug*

Oh, that's quite interesting! I never knew they actually originated within the eye itself - I thought they merely lay on the surface.
Yup! Always happens..
It's natural.. If I recall right, the doc said that its just becuz the eye muscles are tired.. If it stays for a very long time, you've got a problem there, check it out!

I get that too! See a sort of floaty area of colour that seems to move around.
Yeah i know what you mean, you get the same thing from looking at a bright light and then looking away again. Little patches of colour.

I get that and its usually followed by migraine :frown:
Yeah I get those floaters too.

i get the strange floaty thing

i always thought that i was seeing bacteria floating around in the air and that i had some kind of microscopic eyes! lol
Floaters are completely normal - they're bits of vitreous liquid that float around the back of the eye. If you notice a sudden increase in the prevalence of floaters, you should see an optician ASAP as they can sometimes be the beginning of retinal detachment, although this is rare.

It's also normal to see a 'negative' image of a light or lightbulb if you look at it directly - perfectly normal.

Lol me too! I used to think I was special until I found TSR
Seeing stars and floaters are different things. I get both occasionally.

My friend has a really big floater that annoys him sometimes if it floats down the middle of his vision :P
I hate floaters, you try look up at them and they go down

Hello, I suffered migraines since I was around the age of four and at 15 years of age it affected my vision. Now i'm nearly 30 and when i'm extremely tired I see floaters that sometimes make it hard for me to sleep, because I see them even with my eyes closed. Its probably something related to the brain I believe . So I have been able to control it somewhat by going to bed at the same time and not get extremely exhausted.
