University of Stirling

Hi,
I’m an international student from America applying to University of Stirling for the 2020 school year. I applied via Common Application on 21 December. Looking at some other threads, it seems Stirling gives late replies sometimes, so should I worry that I have not received an acknowledgement email yet? I was chalking it up to the fact that their offices might be closed during winter break. If I don’t receive an acknowledgement by 13 January (their online calendar says this is when the semester starts), should I email them? It’s the same case for University of Aberdeen in case anyone applied there also.
