What is the difference between maths are core-maths and which one has more value?

Core maths is basically higher gcse maths (from what i have been told) and Maths has a level content that can be found in further maths slightly. Maths has more value because core maths is only an AS while maths is an alevel so core maths has half the points you would normally get in a level maths (e.g A in Maths would be 48 while A in core maths is 24)

if u are lvl 6-9 in maths at gcse then do maths instead of core
