I'm having a writer's block and would really appreciate your input on this essay question.
I'm in year 12 and the book I'm currently studying is All My Sons by Arthur Miller.
How far can you link modern preoccupations with consumerism to this post war period?

What research have you done?
What do you know about consumerism?
How does it manifest itself today and why?
How does it manifest itself in the book and during that period?

Seems to be about American dream, aspiration, greed, money and consumerism?

So its understanding those and then making the jump to modern day as in whats the same, what influenced or is it connected at all? Any lessons or recurring themes?

Enough for you to think about.

Thank you so much
i havent read the book but that powerpoint is useful in identifying the themes. You can then speculate upon how it is relevant today in 1 or 2 paras, but only after you have done a solid job establishing how it works in the book.
