So I'm looking to buy an Xbox one but I'm not sure which to buy.
My local cex has an Xbox one for £105 and a one s for £140, but I'm not sure if it's worth paying more for the better console, especially seeing as I don't have, and don't intend to get, a 4k TV.
Any advice would be appreciated!

S doesn't run 4K, that would be the X.

Get the S if you can comfortably afford it.

I noticed the difference in speed when I got mine, and there are some more recent games that struggle on the original Xbox 1 (things like RDR2, CODMW and BFV spring to mind)

Also, little known fact, the S does some jiggery pokery output on 1080 TVs to make it look even better than the original will.

If you do get a 4K TV, the S also outputs 4K video (not gaming) but does support HDR in video and games (personally, I think HDR makes more of difference than 4K anyway, for a more immersive experience)

just get the one s, if you buy the xbox one, you have to deal with a massive power brick.
