LLB essay help?Watch
I do not understand one of my essay questions "Critically discuss the importance of autonomy (in medical law) in informed consent".
Now I think I have a solid understanding of the doctrine of informed consent (disclosure of risks and any alternative therapies during the 'gathering consent' process - recently established in the case of Montgomery) and the principle of autonomy is literally the right of self-determination (this can be seen in the doctrine of informed consent - DR ought to disclose risks, etc so that patient can make a fully informed choice).
I still have no idea how to answer this question. No clue on the structure and how to cover the 2500 word limit.
Can anyone help me, please?x
