I have a fancy dress party coming up and I need a costume by next week. The theme is Films, musicals and cartoons, I'm most in favour of some well known musical but I don't know what

I was going to dress up as someone from Fame until someone else said they were doing that, Cats is also taken.

Any ideas from you lovely, creative bunch pleease?

Edit: It has to be Catholic/religious setting appropriate, I'm going to be in Lourdes :p: So no nun costumes/moulin rouge-esque costumes as I'll probably be burnt at the stake.

If you're curvy, you could do a Marylin Monroe type thing.

Minnie Mouse and Bugs Bunny are all I can think of for cartoons...

I'm really flat and skinny, stick like :p: Marylin Monroe/Betty Boop/Jessica Rabbit-esque costumes are out of the question for me.

Thanks for the ideas so far

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - well its not that well known but you could wear a pretty dress
Phantom of the opera - another pretty dress option
I love musicals so any questions just ask me.

Oh and ditto to the Rocky Horror Picture show.

    Something from Camelot?
    Donna in Mamma Mia?
    Bette Midler in The Rose?
Julie Andrews in Thoroughly Modern Millie?
Julie Andrews in Victor/Victoria? - all it requires is a suit if you wish to dress as Victor... or a fancy type dress to dress as Victoria

orrr.. the woman in Tom & Jerry? - with the big layer-y type skirt.
Lisa in The Simpsons? - (Marg is over-done)
