    Any non-medics out tell doing BMAT? I know some vets and biomedical scientists (like myself) have to do it. Anyway good luck to you all!

    Because of those UMS :yep:
    And also because Cambridge Medicine is quite heavily research based. I'd rather practise medicine, not research it.

    photo and topics covered in subjects lol my UMS isnt even average by the sounds of it, i'll have to rely on the whole maths in one year with an A thing lol! i never knew labibah was applying to oxbridge, she hadn't decided when i last spoke to her x

    well actually, I'd argue the opposite. I mean 2-3 years of clinical medicine is enough practice pre-Foundation level anyway. You'll get loads of practice in your foundation years.

    well my admissions tutor reconned that at REALLY competitive colleges like Trinity, where the average is 92%, at least the top 5 people would have 300 x 4 :|:|

    oh bummer... it seems so many are applying to downing ... me too...i didn't look at the statistics, i was told not to by careers teacher.

    i guess my chances are much lower now...

    i really hope cambridge like people who want to do some research in the medical career...though i'm not sure how much stuff i'm supposed to have read... i only read new scientist a bit....:confused:

    now wishing i went for sidney sussex, i went there on the open day.

    Most Cambridge medics have 5 A levels and very very good UMS anyway :p:

    When did you go on the open day?? I went to an open day as well, so I may have seen you :p:

    New Scientist is a load of rubbish anyway. Read a pop-science book.

    The interview is everything. I dont think there's any great advantage of having more than i dano..95% ums? It just shows better exam technique as opposed to genuine intellectual ability.
