mostly remembering how all of the tenses are formed (like pluperfect etc) and other grammar things like the subjunctive, but i’m just finding it all really difficult in general and it’s demotivating me so much

Why are you learning the present tense? I’d expect a year 7 to do that, surely there’s something better you can do like learning subjunctive expressions and irregular conjugations or something?

yea i didn’t explain that very well what i mean is it’s more like a goal, so that by the end of one week i know the present, (ill probably just go over it for about an hour) then i have until the second week to know the next tense etc. of course i will be doing other revision for French as well

There’s this really good podcast on Spotify called Intermediate French which covers topics that are included in the specification (and a few others). You can slow it down and speed it up and I find it really good for just getting used to listening to vocab that will be in the actual exams! You might find it helpful

Music, like genuinely just create a massive playlist of French music and sing along with the lyrics- you’ll hear it how it’s meant to be pronounced and get used to different French accents, you’ll say the words so you’ll get better at the accent and you’ll see it written down so you’ll get better at reading it. If you want a list of some good artists to start with Im happy to help 😊
