Are Year 13 Mocks important?

I just had my first mock which was economics today. I think I did really bad and got a C. Are they relevant and how to improve for next time

They are only as important as you make them out to be. In other words, they do not directly affect your real results. What they are capable of, however, is giving you a rough indication of how much you've understood throughout the course thus far. A grade C isn't exactly a terrible result--it's roughly half marks for most grade boundaries.

The importance of mocks comes from the fact that they outline your weaknesses. Look at where you have failed to score marks. This exercise should denote your weak areas in the subject. Those areas are the ones that require improvement if you are to avoid losing marks when they are assessed again, when the ante may be raised.
