I've Googled and found all the usual methods of treatment for ingrown hairs but I have one which is ingrown but I can't see where the hair is (so I can't poke around with the tweasers or a needle)! I've tried using a warm sponge on it to see if this brings the hair to the surface but this doesn't seem to have worked. Any ideas what I can do? I'm worried that if I just wait it out and see what happens it will end up getting infected and turning into a mess. Can I buy anything specifically to help or will something like germolene help at all?

i get these all the time. i tend to find if the hair is not seeable, to just leave it until thre is a green head on te spot then to use the normal methods. this usually is the case on joints like elbows and knees.

I'm still having no luck with the ingrown hair! I've been putting tea tree oil on it to see if it will help and maybe prevent any infection but this doesn't seem to be doing anything. The ingrown hair is only slightly visible, sometimes I see it and then sometimes I dont because its still quite deep under the surface so I've got nothing to poke at, I tried poking about with a needle and tweasers but this didn't do anything.

Any advice? Will it just work its way out naturally or can I get something from the chemist?
