I have a friend who lives there, who says it's terrible.

Also, there's apparently been a massive influx of immigration which has apparently destroyed any community cohesion.

I used to go swimming there.

No, wait - that was Stevenage.
Reply 3
Maybe, maybe not.
Reply 4
Possibly. It is pretty grim, but there may be worse that I haven't been to yet.

station is appalling, can't think of any worse cities off hand - it literally has nothing going for it. At all.
Reply 6
Not all cities, but Grays, Luton, Hull, Basildon, Burslem all give it a run for its money.
Reply 7
Never been, but I don't think I'll be going judging from above replies.

I quite like it; was born there and find it reasonably pleasant.

Ive got a mate at uni from Peterborough, he always bigs it up, and talks about there ****ty team, ala 'The Posh' even though Peterborough is anything like posh.

Its a dump thats been humped up the arse.

It's up there, and I've barely been outside the station. Dreadful place.

Although the H&M in the shopping mall did come in handy once .

Im from Peterborough and its amazing, our city center is amazing compared to some of the others ive seen if you ask me, but their are a mighty load of chavs here.

Chatham immediately springs to mind as the most awful urban area in the UK
Reply 13
What about in comparison with cities/towns like Hull, Manchester and so on?

Also. Do you all have favourite towns, any which you would see as the best city in the UK?
Reply 14
Whenever I'm off up to uni on the train it's always the stop where all the really loud and obnoxious people get on.. So I'm guessing it's quite unpleasant. Another hell-hole that I'd like to nominate would be Dundee... ghastly..

I've never been to peterborough so far the worst town i've been to in this country is wolverhampton. As soon as i got off the train some guy walked up to me asking if i want some weed lol
Peterborough has a few crap areas but what town doesnt?

It's a perfectly average city.

Yes, yes, just blame it all on the immigrants
In GCSE geography this year one of our case studies was Polish immigrantion to Peterborough, looked rough but I've never been. It was hilarious watching this one Polish fella depart, he hugged and kissed all of these big butch men- and then shook his wifes hand....
Lambeth...
