Saw it yesterday and will again this afternoon since I’ve nothing else going on. Lot of work to do such long shots but it comes out really well.

As visually stunning as the whole thing is I felt the film lacked a lot of depth in the main protagonists, I felt nothing for either of them.

The one section that felt incredibly out of the place was the whole section in the town which tried to emulate the Do Long Bridge from Apocalypse Now in the sense of it being more a dream sequence style of events rather than being entirely grounded in reality. It was completely at odds with the rest of the film.

The woman in the cellar just made zero sense in what was obviously a long abandoned occupied town.
