I'm going to take foundation year at either Warwick or Durham, in order to get access to networking and their contacts. I thinks its worth the extra year.
I think if you want the best opportunity, then so insight days & spring weeks in first year (multiple if possible), this will help get an internship in 2nd year summer, this (if you impress) will lead to a grad offer.

TBH I dont think you'll get access to great networks from the foundation year. You get some networking opportunities in Undergrad but these are more down to students going to on-campus events, often organised by societies. Most of the direct uni networking opportunities are for MBA students not UG's.

I think it more about getting your name out there during the foundation year. And then basically having a "head start" in year 1.
Thanks for the info by the way.

A lot of absolute rubbish in this chat. A-levels results have a minimal impact on spring week applications. Know people with three A*s and not a single interview and people with ABB and multiple offers. Uni prestige, work/voluntary experience, psychometric test ability and interview skills will all have a much greater impact than a-levels. Just get good enough a-levels to get into a target/semi-target.
Really?!So you know a significant number of ppl who managed to get Springs with ABB?:-)Were these offers from the BBs though or generally more from smaller banks/EBs?
