Has anyone firmed a place at Leeds Trinity University yet and if so have you accepted any accommodation?

I haven't firmed LTU yet but I'm pretty sure that it will be my first choice. I'm not going to stay in accomodation on campus because it'd be too expensive, so I'll just find a rent to stay in with my boyfriend. This is probably not helpful but still.

That’s cool. Yeah the accommodation is quite expensive but I guess they all are which ever uni you go to so it’s hard

Yes, they are. My friend is in her first year and uni of Manchester and she's paying £650 a month for accomodation.

I have an unconditional offer for Education with FY, Primary Teaching (5-11) with FY and an interview for Primary Teaching (5-11)with QTS. Not firmed yet as I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the interview day goes well.

I'm a 'mature' student, (22) so will be living at home. However, I live in Leeds and have done for some time, I also used to be a student here, if you'd like any advice on where the best places to look for decent priced housing are, give me a shout!

I'd say it can definitely be cheaper in Leeds to look at renting rather than accommodation, depending on how far you're willing to commute, however, don't forget how much the university accommodation can help you to socialise and make friends when you're new to an area!

Thank you! Me too, we've got quite a bit relying on it, we have our house due to be remortgaged in about 4 years, so we need me to be done studying in time!

I previously studied at Leeds Beckett, when I was there I lived on Burley Road. It is about 10 minutes into the city centre from there and 15-20 minutes to the train station. The rent is a lot lower and you can get some really nice student houses there (careful as you get closer to Hyde Park, get familiar with the area to make sure you're comfortable first!) if you're happy to take a bus or train to Uni!

Headingley is a bit closer (about 30 mins on the bus) and has very much become a student town! There's everything you'll need there and the rent is nice and low! 100% recommend Headingley for a good night out without the slightly higher prices you find in the centre.

Thankyou very much for that. I mean I guess I don’t have to think about 2nd year just yet but that will be helpful when I do need to.
Ahh yeah so you need to be studying in September really then
