What is this thread about?
This is a joke bill in the Model House of Commons (MHoC). It's a piece of proposed legislation that is currently being debated, but I wouldn't take it too seriously! All are welcome and encouraged to ask questions about the bill's content and join in the debate – you don't have to be in a party or be an MP to do so.

What is the MHoC?
It's a political role-playing game where we pretend to be the House of Commons, and it's been going since 2005. We have formed parties, we have elections twice a year, and we debate bills and motions just like the real-life parliament. If you want to know more about how the MHoC works, your first port of call is the user manual. If you'd like to get involved and possibly join a party, you want the welcome thread.

B1545 – Heresy (Prohibition Of) Bill 2020, LiberofLondon MP

A Bill to make abominable heresies committed within Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Realm punishable by death.

BE IT ENACTED by The Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Commons in this present Parliament assembled, in accordance with the provisions of the Parliament Acts 1911 and 1949, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

(4) Her Majesty's Grand Inquisitor shall form an Inquisition for the purpose of discovering heretics within Her Majesty's realm and trying them.

Clause II: Commencement, Short Title, Extent and Conditions

(1) This Bill shall come into force upon Royal Assent.
(2) This Bill may be cited as the Heresy (Prohibition Of) Bill 2020.
(3) This Bill extends to the entire United Kingdom, with the exception of Scotland whose residents may continue to eat pineapple with pizza given that they already eat such disgusting things as haggis.

Notes

The practice of putting pineapple on pizza is disgusting, inhumane and kills millions of tastebuds every year. The TSR Libertarian Party are committed to saving these innocent tastebuds by criminalising this dangerous substance.

If we're going to do this, shouldn't we at least hire an Italian?

I'm gonna nay simply on the fact it gives someone the legal authority to execute... like jeez
Also, pineapple doesn't belong on pizza. It's a tropical fruit.

Does that mean that peppers and chillies don't belong on pizza? After all, they are both tropical fruit.

Yep. They don't.
I guess that that also includes tomatoes too... so basically pizza doesn't exist because it's filled with tropical fruit.

Last time I checked, tomatoes weren't tropical.
Although, to be fair, if we went with fruit full stop then technically yes
although at the time of its invention tomatoes were most likely considered a veggie

Tomatoes are from Central and South America. They are literally from the tropics.

I'd like to ask the house for its opinion on these:

My research showed otherwise, but fair. I still disagree on pineapple.
My opinion on said links: Why is banana pizza a thing? Just why?

Well pineapple on pizza isn't really a strong anti-mainstream view anymore is it? Quite widespread, so not really heretical. Regardless if you actually like it or not.

Formatting issues too, at least 3.
