Hi,
I have just been looking at the different specifications for A-level History and could anyone tell me why OCR and Edexcel have 3 topics plus coursework and AQA only has 2 topics plus coursework?

Thanks in advance.

Have you compared specs.
Looking at AQA you do 1 breadth paper and one depth paper.
Both papers contain compulsory source questions.
I would suggest AQA has larger topics.
You should compare.

Thank you, I will compare them and see.
For example the Tudors can be cut into two periods early and late whereas another board might have it as one option from 1485- Henry VII- 1603 Elizabeth?

I have had a look and the AQA specification does cover more in each topic, rather than OCR, plus with AQA you have to study more for the coursework than is necessary for other exam boards. So in total you end up studying the same amount for each different specification. Thank you for your help.
