I want to apply to University of East Anglia however their entry requirement is ABB and i'm predicted a BBC. I will still apply because i really want it but i also want to do the course including placement year but for that i am required an AAB so i think i'll just apply to the cognitive psychology alone but if i were to get accepted and study in that uni would i be given the opportunity to do the placement year if i wanted to change

I don't see why not. You might have to get some pretty good first-year marks before you're able to transfer.

Tagging University of East Anglia who may be able to offer some more insight.

Moved to University of East Anglia (UEA)

Hi there Psych2020,

It's great to hear that you are considering UEA for Cognitive Psychology!
If you were to meet the grade requirements for the Psychology courses without a Placement Year, you would be able to try and transfer to the Placement Year course, but this would not be guaranteed. The grade requirements tend to be higher for Placement Year courses because they are slightly more competitive, but this wouldn't mean that there'd be no chance.

If you have any further questions regarding this, or about UEA in general, please feel free to message us here.
