Looking at getting a new car, any suggestions?

I'm 22, currently at Uni and I'm commuting.
I also drive 40 minutes each way to work so I'm on the road a lot.
Hence why I want to upgrade to something nice.

I've around €10000 to spend, £8000(?).

I want something comfortable, fun and generally nice to look at.
Most of my driving is at higher speeds, since I live in the country.

I was looking at a 2013 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works - the sports version of the Mini Cooper, it's 208bhp and it's the same cost to insure as a regular Mini Cooper!

Any suggestions?
Heyo!

Depend bro, I would personally suggest coupe cars. I’ve never been a fan of the mini coopers, £8000 you can get a decent car (depending on your Insurence)

- BMW Z4 2.0 or 2.5 (2007-2009) 40k-60K millage
- Mazda Mx 5 (2009/2010)
- BMW 3 series saloon or coupe (330i/325i/330i) 2011
- GOLF GTI 2011
- Audi TT 1.8 or 2.0 2010-2011

I can go on ect,

Couldn't get a quote on the Z4, MX5 (2011, not my favourite design) was 2.2k, couldn't get anything on a 3 series, golf and tt were both quoting up on 3k..

From what I've been told it needs to be less than a 2 litre.

What Insurence companies are you using? I thought Insurence was cheaper in country side areas. How long have you held a license for to?
Try a BMW 320i

Chill insurance.ie they're a broker so I just stick my details in and they spit out quotes online (only using it because it's very fast).

I've had a full licence for 1 year, I'll be 2 years as a named driver in May/June so I'll be saving up to change the car then.

Big thing is I'm going first year in my own name too.

Ah makes sense, I’m 25 now and I’ve managed to get Insurence at 1500£ for a 3 litre car. (Been driving since 18 y/o) first driver on Insurence at 20. 4 years no claims, they still wanted 3-4K! Did it through a broker like yourself.

Personally I had to bite the bullet and drive 1.6lt-2.0lt cars for 4 years. Insurance was dirt cheap 600£-700.

Also try direct line, or elephant Insurence websites easy to use.
