I am 19 and will be doing a 6 year medicine course starting September 2020. I want to move out of my house completely this year, never needing to come back unless by choice. Can I get uni accommodation for the first 6 years and then move out? I would have to bring all my belongings with me from my current family home when I move out this year.

Uni accommodation is usually only guaranteed for first year (which is September - July roughly) ,after that you would need to find your own place (be it house share or private halls - though they will likely be termly too). But yes, once you get a contract for a flat/house which is 12 months plus you don't have to move back home again
