I just got rejected by Cambridge for Natural Sciences. Although I've already got an offer from Imperial for biological science, I kinda wanna take a gap year and reapply Cambridge.
I will definitely do more self-teaching during my gap year, but is this sufficient? I think it'll be quite difficult for me to get an internship back in my country and if I stay in the UK, the visa can be a problem.
Anyone who had similar experiences and managed to get in Cambridge the second time?

I haven't received feedback on my application, but I can't calm down right now, have to make new plans so I don't get too depressed.
My predicted grades are 4 A*s, my AS results are all full UMS. But I know grades don't mean everything. I guess my problem is I messed up my first interview and didn't do many Biology questions during the admissions test coz I ran out of time. Since I'm applying Nature Science (Biological), I should have chosen the biology question to answer first. I was stupid.

Have you considered trying a year at Bristol and then seeing how you feel at the end? If you end up liking it you can finish the degree; if you don't you could apply to Cambridge at the end of the year. Of course, it would be an expensive 'gap year', but you might be surprised and actually end up liking and staying at Bristol. And remember it's only three/four years! You can always do post-grad at Cambridge.

I didn't apply for Bristol, though. I'm considering Imperial.
