Hi, I have a question.

If I'm not mistaken, QMUL's undergraduate CS course doesn't require A-level Maths or A-level Computer Science and so I was wondering if it actually is possible to survive the course without having done both.

Im still doing A levels but Im thinking of studying computer engineering over Computer science. From what I've gathered the Math in Cs isn't that difficult relative to other degrees like engineering degrees, as a lot of unis dont have Maths A level as a requirement . So you could probably get away with not taking maths A level.

That's sort of what I've found out too. Do you know what programming languages would be good to learn (to prepare for first year CS)?

I have spent last few months studying towards the A level exams( "which wasn't a walk in the park") after my application for Computer Science at Queen Mary failed. I'm not sure about this year but until last year they have advised the candidates to take the A levels as part of their entry requirements. Not sure things have changed since last year, however it is high likely they would offer you one year foundation program. Why don't you call the Admissions team to clarify?

Java, C and C++. They are actually quite difficult languages in comparison to something like python which you learn in school, so if you havent already maybe start with python to get a decent understanding of programming.
