Digital.

I am a PC gamer, and I've not installed a disc drive in my builds for a good... 5/6 years now.

Must probably be a Nintendo problem then lol after like 5-10 years they close their e-shop for the previous Generation console (they've done it for the DS, Wii etc)

I mostly use Xbox and Steam for PC, both allow local downloads with no need to connect to the internet to play.

Nintendo are a strange company.

You don't need internet to play the game but once e-shop server gets unsupported on the console ba boom I think you lose all of your digital games downloaded on that console or if you break your console etc

Never an issue on Xbox, they are the Microsoft Store servers.

When I look at my games, the physical is the dominant part. All of them are in a good condition wjat surprises me, as I didn't take so much care for them.

As I'm a PC player, all of my games are digital; I use Steam as a primary platform. It's just not convenient for me to have disks around if I can keep a digital copy on my account.

That being said I do still buy physical CDs, so I suppose that's probably my equivalent?

Digital. I hate clutter.

I buy physical games if they're significantly cheaper or I know I'll sell it on.

Physical media for PC has gone the way of the dodo. Long enough ago that blu-rays never became standard and physical copies are distributed on a disgusting number of DVDs. (GTA was distributed on 7) There's no reason to include a disc drive on a modern build. So all my games are digital. Have a 2TB hard drive so I can basically have every game installed.

I am too old-fashioned for this.

I think I would not own a single physical game, if I were born decades later.

I prefer to buy my games. I like having the physical disk. Sony could theoretically shut up shop at any time and if my ps4 hard drive gets corrupted or something ....and sony have closed down [or i lose my psnetwork credentials or get hacked or something] then i've lost all my purchases.

I sometimes purchase DLC, but that's as far as I want to risk it

They have been ripping people are for far longer than that, like releasing the 3DS XL without a charger in the box.

That's another downside to digital, ya can't sell it when you've finished it!

I mean, i'm not in the habit of selling games [i sold fifa 18] ... but that option is always a nice one.

There are one or two of my old games that have risen in value slightly over the years too. skies of arcadia gamecube is selling for £70+ on ebay!
I'm ngl, I'm getting tempted to sell as it's just sitting in a box collecting dust.

wouldn't have that option though if it were a digital game
