60 - 38 = 22.

It is against forum rules to give full solutions, and we encourage you to have a go and do what you can as much as possible.

However, since someone has already given you a full solution in this instance, in a fashion, here is a breakdown:

First off look at the triangle ABD. This allows you to work out the angle ABD (sum of angles is 180). (image 1)

Then angle ABD = angle CDB - corresponding angle between parallel lines (image 2)

Finally, consider triangle CDE. External angle is the sum of the two opposite internal angles. And this allows you to work out x. x+ angle CDE = angle BEC , (image 3).
