Match of the Day woman commentator in my opinion the woman is in the wrong place at the wrong time nothing against the fact that she’s female ( that must be stated) it’s the fact that what makes a good commentator and broadcasters have generally got that this spot on over the years is not only the knowledge of the game but the tone of the voice which is without doubt way below par.

Not watching match of the day tonight but it's sad because the only reason they have a woman host is to please people. Normally its just a pretty face or a token woman with no football knowledge. It would be good if they had a woman with actual football knowledge. Someone like Alex Scott

Don't you mean commentators? Big clue in your title. Problem is they drop half of the syllables, bit like Glaswegians.

Changed the title name. You are welcome!

As long as they have a good football knowledge and are decent in commenting, I don't mind that they are women.

Gabby Logan? Her father is former footballer and manager Terry Yorath, so she grew up with it. Supports Newcastle, has worked in radio and TV sports broadcasting since the mid-90s.

Jacqui Oakley? Wolves supporter, former amateur footballer, qualified football coach, qualified sports journalist.

Not just pretty faces and certainly not tokens!
