Most mornings when I first get out of bed, my heels have pins and needles for the first few steps? Any idea of what causes this?

Thanks

Possible lack of blood circulation, are you overweight ? Do you lie with your feet in a slightly raised position? Do part of your legs get crushed slightly by your body whilst you sleep ? High levels of blood sugar, most diabetics suffer with pins and needles it's 1 of the 1st signs that something is wrong and your feet are often 1 of the first places these signs appear as they are furthest away from your heart.

That’s useful thanks. And yeah I am overweight (but am trying to lose weight) would it most likely be type 1 or 2 linked with the pins and needles?

You'd know if you had type 1 diabetes.
