Hey, I am moving to Lincoln next September, it will be my first year and I have been told that I should get on-site university accommodation because it is better for socialising, however I don't really like Courts and Cygnet Wharf is too expensive, I was considering choosing Danesgate House or Pavilions, but I'm scared I'm going to be will older students rather than students from my year and will not socialise as easily as If I was to go to Courts. I am also a party animal hahaha and would like to know if the clubs in Lincoln are actually good, I have quite high expectations as I come from Madrid, Spain and there are amazing clubs there that close at 7 am. I would really appreciate some advice as I'm quite lost right now. Thanks.

Hi Jose! My name is Lexy and I am a current student here at Lincoln and can offer some advice on these topics! So the nice thing about Lincoln is most of our student accommodations which are classed as off-campus are actually on the edge of campus. This includes; Pavilions, The Junxion, Gateway and Brayford Quay to name a few. You can find tours of most of these on Youtube! I would say if you are more of a party animal, Pavilions or Junxion may be better for you? You can ask to just be with 1st years when you apply but chances are you will be with all 1st years anyway. Danesgate accommodation is in town so about a 15-20 minute walk into uni so be aware of that but it is therefore closer to all the clubs. The clubs in Lincoln are pretty good considering the size of Lincoln but as far as I am aware the latest they close is 5am on some nights but usually 3am.

I hope this answered your questions! If you have any more just let us know!

Even if you were mixed with older students they are moving with new people too, soo they will want to chat and be social with u, so I’m sure you’l be Fine I’m that aspect and I’ve heard clubs and the night life is pretty good in Lincoln, I’ve never partied there myself but I know people who have. I’m not sure if it’ll be as good as Spain but who knows! New experience and a good way to socialise
