rejected and picked wrong courses

After spending months thinking of the best course for myself I landed on International Relations which is highly competitive. I have all the right grades to get in but have only heard back from one uni that gave me a conditional. i started to question my decision and have realised that i've made a horrible mistake and do not wish to study this subject. On top of this i'm pretty sure i will be rejected from uni due this course being very competitive and although I have the right grades my subject choices/ qualifications are not in the social subject area. I'm thinking of applying through clearing or extra but it seems so unreliable and last minute... i also don't know what to apply for anymore.. help would be appreciated

Is it highly competitive though?
You can look up the offer rates on university.which.co.uk. They're often much higher than you think.

Why are you having regrets about studying the subject? Would you be having these regrets if you had had all the offers by now?
