Hi, I just need some advice on my portfolio for illustration. I created a website to show my work and I’m just hoping it’s good!

I like it and I have no idea about these things but:

1. I would check similar examples online.
2. I would carefully read what unis are looking for. They may give a briefing of what they want in a portfolio. You can also glean the information from curse descriptions.
3. Could maybe do with more pieces of work? Are you adding more?
4. More description about pieces and projects showing what inspired it, techniques , development and challenges. Anything learnt. You can use the written aspect to show your thinking as a potential student plus the way you engage with the subject.
5. More variety.

Your work is good but the layout of the website is quite hard to navigate - you're forcing people to click through to multiple projects instead of having it presented on a page.
Also the sketchbook work doesn't show any sketchbook development work just a handful of individual sketches. When universities say they want to see your sketchbooks it is because they're look for information about how you research and develop your ideas so that they can see if your creative process will work well with teaching methods. https://www.studentartguide.com/arti...etchbook-ideas is a good read.

Thank you, I have added and removed some work from The website, as well as created some notes.

Thank you so much, I was struggling with the sketchbook requirements for my portfolio, and I have added descriptions. I have also changed my portfolio into a presentation format as I called one of the universities to see how they would want my work to be presented.
