Edexcel Cash-in Watch
Getting an overall grade in a modular AS or A level depends on a cash-in request being made. It's normally done at the same time the final units are entered but you can wait until you see the results and then decide whether to cash in or not. If you take a whole A level you can cash in just the A level, or the AS, or both. If you received an overall grade in a capital letter on your results slip (as opposed to unit results with lower case letter grades) then you are already cashed-in and you can't change that. If you didn't get an overall grade then you have a few weeks to pay to cash in the qualification (whether it is AS or A level). (N.B. If you completed the AS in an earlier exam season, cashed it in then and haven't re-sat any units from it then you can't cash it in again);
In the UK, all the AS and A level grades you achieve in an exam season always show on the same certificate (except U grades as these never show).
