Hello, I just got declined by Durham uni for the finance course as apparently The previous qualifications listed were not as strong as those offered by other applicants, or did not meet our minimum entry requirements. Now I could go to Newcastle for finance or law or Leeds law and I’m still waiting for Durham to reply with an offer or decline me for law, however I had my heart set on Finance at Durham. I really do not like any other unis finance courses as much as it includes accounting which I don’t necessarily want to do as I’m more interested in the stock markets etc. Do you guys and advice on what I should/can do as I would even be fine with waiting a year if I could go to Durham for finance. I do Btecs which is obviously the main issue here I reckon as I did as levels in maths, physics, business and computer science didn’t do amazingly on any of them except business which I got a B in as I realised I don’t like any of those subjects. That’s why I switched to btec business as I was promised that I can still go to top unis with it, but I highly doubted that and I guess now that’s showing as I’m predicted triple D* at my btec and I even undertook anther A level at home which I fund myself just so I can go to Durham. Also has anyone gotten a offer for Durham finance and if so what is the offer! Thanks

First thing to check is what were your gcse results and what are the minimum requirements for durham? Do they prefer or require maths a level?
