If you are neutralising a weak acid with a strong base, does the weak acid remain as all you are doing is getting rid of the H plus ions not the undissociated acid.

The weak acid itself will react with any added OH- ions. HA + OH- -> A- + H2O.

Alternatively, if you think the OH- ions react with the H+ ions (which came from the partial dissociation of the weak acid), then le Chatelier replaces the H+ ions by dissociating some more weak acid. Eventually all of the weak acid will have dissociated and no more H+ can be replaced. HA <-> A- + H+ and H+ + OH- -> H2O.

Either way, the answer to your Q is a "No."
