My driving instructor

please keep anon or delete.

My driving instructor and myself had a really good relationship, i used to look forward to driving lessons with him and was actually annoyed to pass first time. I also did my pass plus with him. I just felt like i could have told him everything, stuff my closest friends and family dont even know. he did the same and told me personal and private stuff. we just clicked and got on really well. but since passing and doing pass plus, i am really missing him. we have text each other a couple of times, but its not the same.

By relationship, i dont mean i love him, i just mean we got on well like good friends, plus hes newly married and i just didnt see him in a fanciable light like that. Its the same for him too. When i finished, he said we had to keep in touch.

Should i text him, or just cut all ties? i must stress, i would never do anything beyond friendship.

i miss him and the way we just clicked. but i dont know what to do or what to read into it.

sorry for long post. thanks

Does he keep in touch with all his pupils?

I get on really well with my instructor, but texting/phoning just seems a bit too intimate to me..

I don't think its a good idea to go alone for a drink as his wife may feel threatened. Maybe invite his wife along and you might become friends with her.

Well, if he's married, I would suggest steering clear to be honest - things could get messy if you started to develop real feelings for him or vice versa!

My initial thought upon reading the title of this thread was 'don't do it', and I stand by that.

ive spoken to his wife, shes really nice. i dont know about whether he keeps in touch with all of them, but if we ever saw an ex pupil he would really make an effort and was always really nice.

i guess i could bring my boyf and invite his wife.

we are similar ish in age. he is a bit older but onlya bit.

I don't think it's a good idea to keep in contact with them - it's like keeping in touch with teachers from school.

That sounds nice, my driving instructor was just racist.

I would cut the ties, is nice that you got on so well, but it'll just fizzle out if you leave it.
