Honestly my only question is how. I was taught 5 different languages in a space of 3 years since I moved so often, so now all European languages blur together into a mush for me.

I'm gifted so French was a "morceau de pisse" for me.

What's your Knighthood for?

Is your Knighthood in an Order of Chivalry, or are you a Knight Bachelor?

My title was "Dame" on student finance (true story - I chose the wrong dropdown) so it stuck but I've decided to switch it to something that matches my gender.

How many people are there on TSR?

Unfortunately, I did not do French otherwise I would have asked the above question in it.

According to the stats at the bottom of this page, it's 3,323,052 members but the number of active members will be a lot lower.

Est-ce qu’avez-vous (which I think is the full version of what you’re trying to say) is wrong.

There are 3 forms of question in French:
1. The same sentence, just with a question mark at the end.
Vous en avez. (You have it)
Vous en avez ? (Do you have it?)
Vous avez quoi ? (What do you have? - using quoi, question word must go at the end)

2. The est-ce que form
Qu’est-ce que vous avez ?
(What do you have?)
Note that quoi + est-ce que becomes “qu’est-ce que”

3. Inversion
This is the one where you swap the verb and the subject but you MUST use a dash (-) between them.
Que avez-vous ? (What do you have?)
Note here that using inversion, quoi becomes que. Question word at the start. Quoi avez-vous isn’t right.

Sentence orders:
1. SUBJECT + VERB + QUESTION WORD
Vous + avez + quoi

2. QUESTION WORD + EST-CE QUE + SUBJECT + VERB
Qu’est-ce que + vous + avez

3. QUESTION WORD + VERB + SUBJECT
Que + avez-vous

Sorry, I know this thread is a joke but I’m here to help
