I'm not a fan of capitalism but it's the only system that fits with human nature - we are not bees, or ants. We are all individuals who want the best for ourselves. Communism only works with creatures that are not really individuals. Bees, for example, cannot reproduce on their own; they are essentially organs of a larger organism - the hive.

Until we control human thought to become a hivemind, we cannot expect communism to prosper over capitalism in my opinion.

Why does everyone hate capitalism. You wouldn’t have the device you’re using to post on this thread without capitalism. Without capitalism we’d be much poorer and we would be living before the industrial revolution

Also I like semi skimmed milk better than whole milk

However, the job it is meant to do is deprive billions of the fruits of their labour and concentrate it in the hands of as small few, and that seems a generally bad thing. It was a necessary step away from feudalism, but it should never have been allowed to continue without the following step of socialism for as long as it has.

Claims that capitalism is human nature are frankly absurd. Humans nature as a social species is mutual aid, a principle that is consistent across both history and culture (wherever you go throughout history, familial units and tribes would always cooperate for their group survival).

I don't understand why people think its "human nature" for capitalism. Nothing could be further from the truth. In the wider scheme of things, capitalism is relatively new, created in the 1600s by the British and Dutch traders. Socialism on the other hand began with Jesus Christ who was undeniably a socialist. Put it this way. You wouldn't have found Jesus selling miracles so he could make a profit would you? No. Thought so

Capitalism has lifted people out of poverty....yes, to a degree, but then whislt having lifted people out of poverty (which is subjective), it has also made some people extremely rich, so there is still a huge gap in wealth.

I think a system of democratic socialism would be the best. Full scale communism won't work because it would mean the abolishments of state and all other institutions which no one will accept.

The Soviets had massive industry. They also had great scientists and inventors.
