you see, your parents don't see it that way
1. how old are you?
2. they see as a danger and are worried like something bad is going to happen
3. you could get a friend to say you are staying at hers and get her to back it up but go to his?

im 16, theyve met him before and i don’t know how to reassure them. i’ve thought about doing that but i’d rather be honest with them

he’s already stayed at mine before but they were already hesitant with that, i’m scared to talk to them in case it escalates into an argument or something

You sleeping in a separate bed or the same bed? Obviously its a worry for them as they think he might try to manipulate you into doing something or even force you, or do it while you are asleep. Stay clear of drinking alcohol with him.

It's annoying but they're only doing it to protect you. All you can do is show them how mature you are and maybe with time they'll let you stay over.
