It's not normal in the strictest sense because most people don't get a crush on any given teacher, but it's fairly common. Plenty of threads on here about it, at any rate.

If you and your teacher do anything remotely romantic or sexual, they will lose their job and could go to jail. If your French teacher really is flirting with you, you should report them to a school administrator.

Well, firstly unless the teacher is greatly overstepping their bounds they should not be dropping any hints of this sort. You may just be reading into things too far.

The best thing is to ignore it. You don't want to get them in trouble. You don't want to get in trouble. If they start making moves on you, report it.

Often students develop these sorts of feelings for teachers because they seem really intelligent and wise and stuff. It'll pass.
